Jim Gray & Bud Selig Conversation - March 18th, 2004
Anyone watch Outside The Lines last nite? Jim Gray interviewed Bud Selig about what else, steroids....since i believe that issue is being beatin into the ground, i wanna talk about Jim Gray's discussion on Mark McGwire. In 1998, McGwire admitted publicly that he took androstendione, which at the time was a LEGAL growth hormone according to the government and mlb. Now 6 years later, the government has made androstendione illegal, a complete joke i believe. So Jim Gray asked Dud Selig(baseball's worst commissioner) if they should take away or asterick McGwire's record. Does anyone see a problem with this? What McGwire took was LEGAL AT THE TIME!!!! It's a ludracris idea to even think about taking away or tarnishing his record(i know bonds broke it, but he was still first)
For example,
Joe Baseball takes viagra(don't laugh) and it helps him hit 80 hr's....he admits to taking viagra & viagra is legal right...well six years from now, the government bans it and Jim Gray Jr. asks Dud Seling if Joe Baseball's record should be astericked??

My conclusion is this....Jim Gray is a horrible interviewer....Dud Seling is a horrible commish.....the government crusade against steroids and baseball is gonna ruin the popularity of america's game...and Mark McGwire deserves to have his records stay the way they are.....stay tuned for my ideas on barry bonds and lou gehrig
