Kirk Reynolds made national headlines last week and now he’s without a job. Is he a scapegoat for this fall even though he was in the film hugging topless women? Sure he is! Now I am not saying that Reynolds did not deserve what happened to him, his actions were inexcusable. Even though the San Francisco 49ers are in dismal times, he had no reason to act or do what he did. It is an embarrassing time for the entire team. Do you really know where the problem lies, at the top, and let me explain why.
John York, the husband of Denise York, sister to Eddie Debartolo, has driven this team into the gutter. This is a storied franchise, one for the ages, now they have no direction, no focus, completely lost. He fired GM Terry Donohue and head coach Steve Maruicci which brought the team to its current level. York did nothing to halt the departure of Atlanta Falcon’s head coach Jim Mora. He is a cheap son of a bitch with a wallet that goes right along with it.
I am not embarrassed to say that I am a forty niner faithful, but its not something that I hold dear to my heart anymore. Sure I still want them to win and bring back the glory of yesteryear. What do I really want? An owner that really care about the team, someone who actually knows football, someone that actually is proud to say that they are the owners of the team from the city by the bay, shoot make me the owner!
