The Padres yesterday suspended Matt Bush, the top overall pick in the June draft, after the Mission Bay High graduate was arrested late Saturday following an altercation at a nightclub near the Padres' spring training compound in Peoria, Ariz.
Bush, 18, was arrested on suspicion of felony assault in connection with an incident in which a bouncer suffered unspecified injuries at a club called McDuffy's, according to a police report.
