A few years ago, my bosses son was killed in a car accident. As part of remembering him, a charity was set up in his name called the Joshua Harr Shane Fund. The charity normally deals with children with blood disorders and cancer as they host an annual golf tournament and dinner. With a portion of the money they receive, they set up a scholarship for 1 high
school senior to go towards any college or university of their choice. The rest of the money received throughout the year is given to the The Institute For Children With Cancer and Blood Disorders.
For the holiday season, we have purchased over 1600 60 minute phone cards through the help of MCI and in connection with Fort Dix, which is located in New Jersey, we plan on sending over the phone cards directly to the troops so they can reach home to their families during the holiday season. We are lookin for donations of any amount to help purchase more phone cards for the troops. Along with the phone cards, we will be sending over a list of people who donated along with the town and state they are from.
