Besides the proverbial Disney Land or some idiotic sorts like that, there likes an important question.
With the inevitable pursuit of other teams to our players that are going out of contract at the end of this season, the question stands, where are we going to go?
The most notable players that are leaving are Pedro Martinez, Derek Lowe, and Jason Varitek all who have played large roles in this years WS Championship and have been with us for numerous years.
It will be sad to see these fine men go off to another team, and as hinted last night, NY is looking and has cash to "spare". Derek Lowe will fetch a cool 8 million just because of what he pitched in the WS and the ALCS and Pedro will certainly get his fare shair. Varitek will be signed, he is an awesome catcher that communicates very well.
Where will the Red Sox go? Will we resign them to some short term deals (since they've been with us so long?) Will the sign and move away to possibly the evil empire? Or will we look to bolster our lineup else where?
These are all up in the air as we go to the offseason, and with NY's inevitable buildup, again, they come out headhunting this coming season, 05.
