Rozel A. Lee - JackAss of the week February 7th, 2006 - February 15th, 2006 - February 7th, 2006
It's not often that the journalists covering the news are the story, but there are exceptions. Take Rozel A. Lee, a sports writer for the Tampa Tribune for more than 10 years. When it came time to vote for the top local football player in her area Lee apparently had a favorite she hoped would win. So she allegedly gave the lowest score possible to his closest rival, Hillsborough High School quarterback Jarred Fayson, who was barely edged out by Robinson High School quarterback Marcello Trigg . . . Lee's favorite. When asked how she could possibly rate Fayson out of the top five, Lee explained, "I've always voted like this. When you want a desired outcome, you are going to eliminate the closest opponent to that desired outcome." The Tribune didn't care for that explanation and fired her.
