Over the past few months on SportsRant radio we have had great interviews. We’ve had Bruce Weber, head coach of the Illinois Fighting Illini. We’ve had the host of ESPN’s College GameDay, Chris Fowler. We’ve also had on several other experts and athletes, and we will continue to make progress in that area.
The big addition to the program is 15-minute misconduct with Shane Avery. He comes strong every show with his biting commentary on hockey, answers your mailbag questions (misconduct@sportsrant.com), and also has great interviews. On the next show (10-5) he has the host of ESPN NHL 2night, John Buccigross to talk about the new season. We are all excited about the new hockey season, and make sure to check out 15-minute-misconduct all season long. Give him a shot, he does a great job.
I also wanted to make mention of several contests we will be having. Keep an eye on the football thread because any contest we do we will have information about there. You need a betonsports.com account to participate, but the prizes are always bonuses and credits to your account, so cash is always better than some oversized hat. We are also introducing a new SportsRant Radio betonsports bonus package. Anyone who signs up with betonsports just has to type SR Radio into the promotional code and they will get an additional 10% bonus. Again, keep an eye on the football forum for future contest info.
Finally, if you cannot get your fill of myself and Dan, you can listen to us host “SportsFan” every weekday on ESPN Radio 970 WATH from 6-7pm (unless the Blue Jackets have a 7pm game, then we have a shorter show). We do a mix of local sports (Ohio) and national, but as a call-in show we drop anything to take calls, so check in sometime (1-888-592-6646) as we will always welcome calls from Ranters.
To sum up-check out SportsRant Radio, listen to SportsFan and sign up for a betonsports account. Finally, if anyone wants to get involved in SportsRant Radio, there are a variety of ways you could help out. If you have any questions, email me at mark_chalifoux@sportsrant.com and thanks for your support.
