Steve Nash won his second NBA MVP Award a couple days ago. His second award in a row! He joins Magic Johnson as the only PGs to win more than one and only the ninth in the history of the NBA to win consecutively.
Nash had career highs in scoring, rebounds, FG % and FT % as well as minutes. He also led the league in assits.
Only Larry Bird had a greater increase in scoring from one MVP year to the next.
Without Amare Stoudamire, arguably the best player on the Phoenix team, the Nash-led Suns had six teammates set career highs in scoring.
He also lost Quentin Richardson and Joe Johnson...along with the virtually season long absence of the injured Stoudamire...three starters from last years team.
With Nash running the show, the Suns won their division again...his team won the overall scoring title for the fifth year in a row (his Mavericks won the scoring title before Nash left for the Suns) joining Alex English (and Dan Issel) as the only players to be part of a five consecutive year run of team scoring championships.

Nash deserves to be considered one of the all-time greatest players to ever play in the NBA.
