Not that this is new news, by now everyone knows what Timmy Smith, the former Washington Redskins running back, did. He is known for his Super Bowl record, 204 yard rushing against the Denver Broncos in a Super Bowl. He was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for dealing cocaine.
This is much more tragic than anything, what a waste, and this gives the NFL a bad name at the same time. Timmy Smith never really mounted to anything, he just had one good day.
I wonder if he still has his Super Bowl ring. I am sure it was sitting somewhere in a pawn shop or someone probably bought it off an auction site somewhere.
